The Greater Heights Worship Center was organized by Rev. and Mrs. Jowers on January 8, 2006 in the home of Mrs. Rosie Tubbs, in Galesburg, Illinois. Mrs. Tubbs was the first member to join the new fellowship. The weekly services included Wednesday evening Bible study, Sunday School and Sunday morning Service. Rev. and Mrs. Jowers filed their Articles of Incorporation with the State of Illinois under the name of Greater Heights Worship Center on January 2006 and the work of ministry began. 

We are thankful for those who have come to help in the work. In the first few months of 2006, we blessed to have 8 new faces begin attending our services. On July 1, 2006, Pastor Jowers secured our first house of worship. The building located at 2262 Grand Avenue, Galesburg, Illinois. The Lord has opened many doors for us as we moved forward in the work. The Lord has blessed us with everything that we have needed for his work through his awesome mercy.

On September 10, 2006 we held our first service at our new home. Our first year also yielded a wonderful opportunity to fellowship with other believers across the city of Galesburg and beyond. We are convinced that God has placed us on Grand Avenue to be a blessing to his creation.

At Greater Heights, we know the best is yet to come. The challenge for Greater Heights is excellence in every thing that we do. We are striving to be the best that we can be for our God and we know that God will save and deliver his own. We shout out to the heavens, to God be the Glory for the great things He has done!
